Skye Comes Home.

Back at the festival, Wendy, Isabelle, Leah, and Jessie were relaxing at the refreshment area when Skye rushed in, clutching a fax. "Listen, everyone," she said excitedly, "They got the faxes and the C & D Agency has offered to hire me. They even have a friend who needs a roommate so I won’t have to look for an apartment right away!"

"Oh, Skye, what great news," said Jessie. "It is wonderful that you are getting to follow your dream."
"Congratulations," said Wendy. "I know the Princess would come through for you."
On the last day of the festival all the entrants dressed in their pajamas, and she and Isabelle were wearing their favorite pairs from their stock.
"I couldn’t have done it without your help," said Skye. "Thank you, Wendy and Isabelle. And isn’t it great that the Sultanate of Tamsen won first prize at the festival, too!"
"We couldn’t have done it without your sewing help," said Isabelle.
"Yes, we can’t thank you enough for that," Wendy added. "I was thinking the Duchy of Denika was going to win. They had some cute designs."
Leah giggled. "They did, but they also had peekaboo panties with one of their pajama sets, and Mother and Father frown on that sort of thing."
Just then an announcement came over the outdoor PA system that all of the festival participants were to come to the main stage for the official presentation of the prizes. Wendy and Isabelle hurried indoors. The three princesses lingered for a few minutes.

Oh, Skye," said Leah, "I am glad you are going but we will miss you a lot."
"I will miss you, too," said Skye, "but you can always come and visit."
"And you can come back to see us," Jessie agreed. "But you know, Skye, your doing this has given me the incentive to follow MY dream. Tomorrow I am going to apply to the Weather Channel and see whether I can get a job there."
"And I am going to talk to the Merriam Webster people about whether they need help with their next dictionary," added Leah.
"Meanwhile, I think I am going to go buy pajamas for everyone at the C & D agency as a goodwill gesture, maybe everybody here can help me choose." said Skye. "I wonder how many people there are there."
"Ah, just get a bunch," said Leah. "You can never have too many pajamas. Come on, let’s go, they ought to be about up to the ‘finest flannel’ award by now, and we don’t want to miss seeing our friends get their prize!"

The festival over, everybody departed for their respective homes. Skye packed her bags and bade her sisters farewell. "Don't forget to write" they insisted. "And give our best wishes to the Twinns in South Africa."
