Igor's lab was actually a corner of the kitchen that Igor rigged up when she decided to experiment (which was often). Today she was assisted by the ever willing Alison the Magic Attic girl.
"Increath the voltage Alithon!"

"Voltage increased to 32KV" Alison confirmed.
"Increathing the inductanth accordingly. We need more power! Alithon, turn off all electrical equipment, we need more power!"
"Everything ith, er... is already off Igorina. Balance the phase to 30 degrees lagging, that should increase our output past the nominal rate."
"Good thinking Alithon. Turn on the armature regenerator, thet it for maxthimum, adjutht the levelth to balanthe the flow in the armth while I thet the hydrothatic field to 0.25."

It was obvious that Igorina was enjoying herself. “Thet field flux containment to 3. Hit the button Alithon!"
Alison moved the switch to on. There was a loud buzz and the figure under the sheet jerked, arms rising out from under the covers. Smoke drifted from Igorinas hair and yellow sparks danced on the limbs of the Twinn under the sheet.

“Ith aliveth!!! Igorina cried in joy.
"It will be on fire if we dont turn the electricity off in a hurry!" Alison said cooly.
"Oh pooh! I almotht forgot. Pull the plug Alithon!". Alison pulled the plug and the kitchen returned to normality. The electricity meter stopped racing around and there was a distinct smell of ozone in the air.

Igor prepared an injection while Alison measured various things under the sheet. "Great job Alithon." Igorina said
