| Caitlyn, having finally arrived safely after her mammoth world trip, was curious (as hollow headed girls often are) and decided to pop along to the office where she could try out for a new job. Naturally she bit off more than she could chew, but that never put her off one bit and soon she was repairing machines like a pro. Unfortunately nobody mentioned that the machines were almost as big as she was, but she did find that her small hands could get into those odd nooks and crannies. Caitlyn considered that this was a a job very suited to hollow headed girls like herself as long as the machines didnt get any bigger.

Computer based diagnostics, one of the many tools that a technician uses to fault find equipment. Caitlyn soon got the hang of it, but found that the keys were a bit widely spread for her. "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" she typed.
That didnt help the situation at all and the computer seemed to give up in disgust.
"What do you mean "The program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down."? I don't understand it, typical computers. Oh well it could have been worse, it could have been the blue screen of death."

The manual said that one must always take proper precautions when working on equipment. Make sure that the power is turned off and that repairs are carried out by a qualified service engineer. Nobody said anything about using a hammer.
"Sometimes the mere threat of a hammer is enough to change any recalcitrant machine's mind about not working properly." It was obvious that Caitlyn was not going to take any nonsense from that machine anymore. "The trick is knowing where to hit, not how hard to hit."

| "Its very important when using power tools to remember the safety aspects. My long hair could be caught in the chuck and I could get seriously injured. Never use tools that are unsafe and don't be tempted to take any chances. Always have a good grip and use the right tool for the job."

| "I love soldering", caitlyn explained, "its such fun. Its one of those things that takes a lot of practise to do properly and the results are always worth the effort. Surface preperation is very important, and a good soldering iron just makes things so much easier. And, when in doubt read the manual. This one is full of strange squiggly things and it talks about Ohms and Volts and Watts. I wonder what its all about? even the pictures are strange. V=IxR? that sounds very suspicious to me. I better stick with comics in the future".

"And this is our electrically operated coin counter and sorter". |
"Phew.. a nice cup of tea is always welcome after a hard days work." |
