Miss Kelsey Hill goes to Africa 8/2004

As many of us know- Karla is a special person and when she heard about Derek's difficulty acquiring Twinns and other dolly delights she decided to make her yearly birthday blessing suprise for him.
Every year around her birthday she does something wonderful for someone she does not know.

This year she invited us to participate and we were all tickled to be included.
The girls did their part by helping Kelsey to sort and pack and took her off to the delivery person.

Karla found the most darling card and we all signed it.

The girls helped Kelsey to find a nice comfortable box and lots of tissue and packing to make it soft for this long long trip!

Everybody folded and tucked and packed her special things in very carefully.

"Woof! Woof!" Barked the little lab. He was very excited to be going!
"Now here is your dolly- you hold her tight!"
"Oh I will Georgie! She is very snuggly!"
Cindy's own snuggly doll was tucked in her pocket and she had her wave good-bye to Kelsey's baby.
"I will miss playing dollies with you Kelsey." said Cindy.
"I will miss playing with you too Cindy- but won't it be fun to play with Caitlyn?!"
"Oh yes! I am sure she will be loads of fun! Now you be sure to write!"
"-and send pictures!" exclaimed Gabriella!

Maddy tucked in the last of the tissues.
"Good-bye! Good-bye!" said Kelsey. "I know it is a long way to go, but you all know how I have longed to travel! What an adventure!"
She lay back and snuggled into her cushions.

"Are you all right?" called Georgie.
"Yes Georgie, I am very comfy! I am sleepy too..."
"Oh good! You should sleep right on through until you get to Derek and Caitlyn. We dolls are lucky! When we are in our nice comfy boxes we drift right into dreamland!
You take care honey- we love you!"
"Ok Georgie...zzzzzzzzz"

"Ok Ladies! Time to get her to the poster! "

"Ok- you lift there-"
"Ok! I will pull this around..."
"I will errrgh - pull- this end --- UP!"
Well hello girls! What on earth are you up to?
"Hi Ginger! We are mailing Kelsey!"
Ah- do you sweeties need any help?
"Oh no thank you Ginger- we have her!"
Ok girls! Let me know if you need me! You are such strong girls!

"Yay! We made it!"

"Now drive safely! Mind the bumps! Go slow! Look out for that pedestrian!!"
"Oh for pity's sake Hyacinth! We have not even started the car!"
"The first one that calls me BUCKET gets it!"
