The staff and campers at Croc Camp would like to welcome you to the annual Summer Croc Camp 2006. We hope that your time with us will be enjoyable as well as instructive. At the same time we want everybody to have fun too, after all, this is camp and that's what being at camp is all about.
Once again our Camp Leader is Carlisle Crocodile, famous saurian and United Nations Saurian Representative on the Security Council. Our senior campers are the ever popular Taryn, Carin and Penny. These experienced campers are well known to all who have previously attended croc camp and they are here to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Responsible for overseeing many of the activities at the camp, our staff also includes many overseas members; Cavendish Crocodile will charm you all with his rare British wit and humour, while Alfred Aligator lends a touch of Africa to our experience. Do not forget Ssid Ssnake who has come on board to lend his experience to those who wish to tread the unknown.
Welcome to Croc Camp! Please enjoy your stay.
It's time to register with Libby. Don't forget your T-Shirt.
Registration is upon you, and fortunately Libby will guide you through it once again. Is one of your old friends at camp too? why not ask to share a cabin, or leave a message so that they can find you. Don't forget to collect your Croc Camp T-Shirt from her, campers are encouraged to wear their T-shirts with pride because it says to everybody "Hey! I was at croc camp, where were you?" As always she will answer all your questions about registration and she will even sign you up in advance for next years Croc Camp. Just remember, places are limited and we hate to turn campers away. Once registered you can take a stroll down to your cabin and then go meet up with all your new (and old) friends. Please remember that we do not allow cellphones, computers, PDA's, televisions, radio's, CD players, drugs or any other forbidden substances. Please take the time to acquaint yourself with the camp routine and rules.

Croc Camp is about fun and education, and we try to take advantage of the glorious summer weather to partake in both. Playing games is always fun, especially when you are on the winning team, but remember, losers are also winners! At night, while we enjoy the campfire away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, let us sing songs, tell stories and enjoy our time with Mother Nature.
Need some time alone? we will make sure that you get it, because being alone is also important, it lets you be at one with your environment and appreciate the beauty surrounding you.
See how easy it is to make a new friend? Croc Camp is full of interesting friends who are just waiting to share a secret, help out with a project, or even to just sit and chat with. We do encourage you to widen your circle of friend while you are with us, it's always better to have a friend on the same team as you are.

At Croc Camp we are very concerned about safety and it's always important to be prepared. We have a qualified Twinn nurse to take care of those aches and pains in muscles which you have not used in ages. Remember to speak to our safety team if you have any special needs or require regular medication.

In keeping with our theme of Nature and environment we have laid on a special guest.
Annette, helps the campers learn which forest plants and mushrooms are edible and which are dangerous.

Edible plants are gathered and taken back to camp where our two gourmet cooks prepare delicious repasts for our campers to feast on. If you are tired of the usual camp fare of hot dogs on sticks or potatoes baked in the coals, Cathy and Rory will teach you how to make ... Croc Camp low fat Gumbo ala Orange on the camp stove, followed by Croc Camp s'mores which are known far and wide as being better than anything our campers have ever eaten (it's the special imported chocolate that Carlisle gets from his secret sources that makes the difference!).
We have asked experts in their fields to enlighten us on how they do things right. Naturally we don't expect you to get things right first time around, but we sure want you to have fun trying. There are even more merit badges to win this year, and soon you will be able to boast to all your friends about your own field of expertise.
Don't forget this is the perfect opportunity to make cool Crocodile Crafts to take home to decorate your bedroom or give to Mom or Dad. Everybody needs a handmade croc to remind them of what they missed out by not attending Croc Camp.

We do encourage a love of the outdoors and nature and you can participate in such diverse occupations as Bird Watching, Swimming, Candle Making, Twinn Repair, Camping, Hiking, Herpetology, Story Telling, Fishing, Boating and and whatever else may take your fancy. The only problem is you may never have enough time to do it all in the short period you are with us.

This year the only visitors we will get will be those who come to fetch us when croc camp ends. Those distractions are just no good and we intend to keep it that way. You can help make this yet another successful camp and it's only through your enthusiasm and participation that we will make Croc Camp 2006 the best camp ever. And, at the end of our time we lower the flag, we will do so with sadness as we all have to go our seperate ways.
Don't forget that there is always next year to look forward to, and if you were with us for 2 years be sure to ask about taking the camper guide course with us next time you come. Who knows, maybe one day you will proudly greet the new campers and help make their time here fun. And, if you have forgotten to take the address of your new friends feel free to contact our camp office and we will do our best to assist. Naturally, if you leave us your address we will gladly send you details of the next Croc Camp so that you can sign up before its too late.
