The RSA

RSA Photographed in Cape Town.

The RSA, seen here in while being used as a static fisheries training ship, was long in use with the South African Government as a supply and research vessel, serving the bases in Antarctica, Marion and Gough Islands. Built in Japan in 1961 she was replaced by the SA Agulhas in 1978 and laid up at Cape Town where she served in a variety of roles before being broken up. Photo by Derek Walker.
