Livingstone

Livingstone alongside in Durban, late 1980's

The Livingstone (formerly Koyo Maru) was a gas carrier acquired by the Green 'R' Line, later absorbed into Rennies and then Unicorn, working between Durban and the Indian Ocean Islands. The ship was subsequently sold to FFS Bunkers who continue to operate her at Richards Bay as a bunker supply vessel. She is nearing the end of her days however and will in all likelihood be withdrawn within two years. Built in Japan in 1969 as Koyo Maru, she is of 1187dwt, 67.3m long and beam of 10.8m, draft of 4.3m, speed 13 knots.
