A Retro look at some of the places from my past (Page 1)

Technology has brought about digital camera's, now I can pop down the road and take photo's of the places I formerly knew. 30 years ago I would have had to take them for processing and developing... However, 30 years ago I would have been reasonably safe walking along these streets with a camera. The pics I took early on a Sunday morning are not of the best as the early morning shadows are very long and I kept on having to keep an eye open on either side of me for oncoming traffic or unsavoury characters. My old stomping grounds have changed considerably since I was last there, in some cases for the better, in most cases for the worst. The 2 houses where I grew up are still standing, but fenced heavily and looking somewhat down at heel. My old primary school has had many new classrooms added as well as a palisade fence, its all in keeping with the ever growing theat of crime I guess. Anyway, enjoy these pics, who knows when I will get down there again. Most pics are 640x480 and open in a new window
