The South African Defence Force Memorial at Fort Klapperkop

These photographs were taken at Fort Klapperkop on 16 August 2009. The last time I was at this site was whenh I was in primary school, and then we only went to look at the fort and not the memorial. I had seen pics of this memorial before, but never the real thing, and it was worth the trip. Its just a pity that it has ended up in such a remote spot, but maybe that has protected it from vandals and those who would like to eradicate the memory of the SADF losses during the Border War.
